Leaders offer guidance, encourage collaboration, and support the growth of team members both personally and professionally. On the other hand, management is concerned with organizing, coordinating, and supervising daily operations to maintain efficiency, ensure compliance with policies, and facilitate smooth workflows (Marquis & Huston, 2021).
Specifically, healthcare leaders prioritize vision and motivation aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care, while managers emphasize establishing structure, ensuring patient safety, and enabling effective communication among patients, their families, and healthcare staff. Both roles complement each other and are essential to delivering high-quality care and optimizing team performance.
