DIT 8214 Week 10 Discussion 1 Student Name Capella University DIT-8214 Professor Name Submission Date  What are the major areas of learning or understanding that you acquired in this course that you did not have previously? Among the largest spheres of my learning in this course was a better insight into the relationship between technology, ethics, and organizational duties in contemporary professional settings. Before the course, my perception of cybersecurity and data privacy was a general understanding of the fact that both issues are becoming increasingly tricky due to the rapid development of technologies endangering organizational operations and ethics.  The information about real-life examples, including how interrelated systems make them more vulnerable to cyber threats and in need of a firmer governance system, taught me the need to consider organized protection, ethical decision-making models, and the protection of stakeholders (Chan et al., 2024). My knowledge about the processes of organizational change also became more profound, and how the vision of leadership, communication, and planned models, such as Kotter and ADKAR, are the key to directing the change. On the whole, this course has broadened my view on the ethics of IT policy, multicultural issues, and the strategic balance between innovation and responsibility. How do you see yourself applying the concepts in this course to your professional work life? I envision myself using the ideas in this course in several real-life situations in my work area, particularly as companies are becoming more dependent on electronic systems and various stakeholder networks. To begin with, the focus on ethical accountability has demonstrated to me the role of being transparent, fair, and accountable in managing data or introducing new technologies. Knowing the role of organizations in ensuring that the information is secure, adhering to rules, and managing the expectations of stakeholders will inform my way of handling decisions in my future job (Priego et al., 2023).  Also, the course reinforced my knowledge of cybersecurity vulnerability and proactive risk management, employee education, and vendor management, which I can apply to promote safer working behavior. The change-management frameworks learned during this course will prove useful as well since they offer systematic methods of guiding or facilitating change within an organization.
