To start with, the firm has a complete business impact analysis that identifies the systems that are important to the company and prioritizes the recovery plans according to the consequential events. Examples of preventive controls are high-level cybersecurity controls, redundancy of data centers, and automatic backup. The plan outlines particular backup measures to restore data, networks, and applications that are affected due to a disruption. Conducting tests, training, and simulation exercises with personnel would assist in making people more prepared to respond in the face of an incident. Also, Microsoft has a constant plan maintenance cycle to ensure that the strategy is up to date on the latest threats and technological shifts (Microsoft, 2023).
