The BLP model is a great candidate for further studies, especially in its adjustment to contemporary cloud computing architecture and healthcare information systems. The future research opportunities include the development of hybrid models that incorporate BLP privacy controls but use integrity-oriented models, such as Biba, to produce an overall security infrastructure. Alongside, a further investigation into the applicability of blockchain technology to deploy BLP principles to decentralized systems or a machine learning approach to dynamically adapt the security level according to certain contextual factors may broaden the applicability of the model to modern security issues.
