Give me a thought for my presentation involving the identification of how Epic HRS is regarded as one of the most attractive health information systems to enhance the healthcare process. I would also be listening to the effectiveness of its contribution to our work process, patient outcomes improvement, and care improvement at our facility today, as well.

Epic Systems Corporation provides an effective clinical information system to handle EHR and other care procedures in the entire world. They are scheduling, managing patients, invoicing, and writing information regarding the illness and treatment of the client.

As a tool for controlling and coordinating the operational flow, Epic is an important tool to manage and organize the operational flow according to the data inputs and requests, which will save everyone time with paperwork and make everyone more productive. Li et al. give an example of the 35 percent efficiency improvement that the Epic documentation and task organization can bring.

Epic assists patients through making communication of the care plan easier across the different disciplines providing patient care, and through decision support, clinical mistakes are minimized. According to Johnson (2024), the decision-support functions of Epic help to reduce medication errors by 25%.

Epic, however, incorporates standard forms in the care delivery process, which has guaranteed the quality and completeness of the data documented. It also enables the healthcare professional to communicate safely when attending to the patients. According to Chishtie et al. (2023), it is stated that communication efficiency with Epic has risen by 30 and documentation accuracy is 40 times higher than it was previously documented.

To enhance the quality of care, Epic puts the best practices and clinical guidelines, which act as the standard of patient care delivery. It promotes professional use of ethics in health care provision through following HIPAA privacy laws and doing everything to keep privacy intact. Moreover, care will also be more efficient with Epic because the number of tests that patients are subjected to is reduced, and the utilization of resources is maximized. Epizitone et al. (2023) also observe that the rate of quality-of-care improvement has grown by 30 percent since the adoption of Epic.

Epic Social also provides patient engagement support with the patient portal that makes patients responsible health consumers because they can access health information, book appointments, and communicate with their health worker. This makes the patients more engaged and prompts the doctors to deal with patient-specific information. According to Davis (2020), the patient portal of Epic has doubled patient engagement.

In this assignment, I have been able to understand the ways in which a HIS such as Epic is changing the delivery of health services, enhancing client experiences, and streamlining the services offered at health facilities. In the next challenge, I will be in a better position to operate around the functions of Epic to improve patient experiences, professional practice, and the effectiveness of the health care organization.
