The awareness of the leadership style is paramount to their personal and professional growth, as leaders are able to understand their advantages and limitations as well as what they should change. Being a winner of the Determining Your Leadership Style Quiz, I have been able to receive the information about my leadership style, as well as have a better understanding of how I would be rated against the concepts of transformational leadership that promote empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Discussion My quiz results demonstrate that my strongest leadership style is the transformational leadership style, followed by the democratic and the servant leadership styles (Demeke et al., 2024). I believe that the quiz is a right description of my personal traits as a leader. One of the key traits of transformational leadership is collaboration, open communication, and encouraging other people to work towards a shared goal, which are my strengths (Karaferis et al., 2022). I want to motivate other people and do that by supporting a vision that will facilitate innovation and self-development, as well as an inclusive and supportive climate. I believe that the three leadership styles that I have found most crucial in managing a team include teamwork in transformational, servant, and democratic leadership. Such styles would be the most handy in achieving the balance, productivity, and professionalism in the healthcare teams. Transformational leaders are inspirational leaders who lead by example and vision in order to make others work towards their optimum potential. Under the guidance of the servant leaders, the needs of the team members will be put in the center, and a supportive and understanding culture will be established, which will increase trust and cooperation (Karaferis et al., 2022). The democratic leaders are participative and are concerned with the collective decision-making, hearing all the voices, and respecting them. All these styles together will encourage empowerment, involvement, and responsibility. Some of the qualities that I admire about the three styles are empathy, collaboration, and inspiration. Transformational, servant, and democratic models promote change, vision, motivation, compassion, and active listening, respectively, and inclusion and respect (Li et al., 2024). These values align with the patient-centered care and ethical practice nursing values. I appreciate these attributes since they create a psychologically safe environment that enhances morale and cooperation in the form of a necessity in quality healthcare provision. We as leaders must invest in lifelong learning, self-reflection, and feedback. Professional development activities such as leadership workshops, mentorship programs, and evidence-based practice activities are also ventures that improve leadership skills. Self-assessment tools, reflective journals, and peer evaluation can also be used to promote awareness and continuous improvement (Stančić, 2020). Leaders can be encouraged to be adaptable and emotionally intelligent to get past the negative experiences, remain trustworthy, and establish rapport in their teams. Conclusion The awareness of leadership style is among the most vital concepts of professional development and an effective team leader. The results of my scores have proved that transformational, servant, and democratic leadership styles are in line with my values and vision of nursing leadership. By following these styles and continuously enhancing my leadership methods with feedback, reflection, and education, I will become empathetic, inspirational, and collaborative and eventually increase the performance level of my team and patient outcomes.
